Looking to see the Resplendent Quetzal in Costa Rica? Sacred bird to the ancient Mayan and Aztec peoples, the quetzal has always fascinated people.

An emblematic bird of the cloud forests, you can spot it in San Ramon. The breeding season (and best viewing) usually occurs between mid-February and June can be extended into July.

The advantage of visiting the quetzal in San Ramon is that there are fewer tourists than in other areas. You will therefore have more chances to see and photograph this magnificent bird, especially with the precious help of our guide.

Besides the quetzal you can observe in the cloud forest of San Ramon many birds such as campana, tanager, hawks, hummingbirds, owls, owls, eagles, great ibijau, motmot, toucan, toucanet… to name only the most famous.

You can also complete this beautiful morning activity by visiting a magnificent waterfall 80 meters high in the early afternoon.
